Parents’ Weekend 2006

DS
For three days, Westminster School nearly doubled in size as our parents spent time on campus visiting with their sons’ and daughters’ teachers as part of the annual Parents Weekend. Being able to meet with every teacher is an opportunity parents are fortunate to take advantage of at Westminster. The faculty set aside many hours for these conferences, which allows for face-to-face discussions of students’ progress. It’s also an important time for parents to meet with students’ advisors, coaches and corridor supervisors.

In addition to meeting with faculty, parents enjoyed Form receptions held at faculty homes, dinner out with their children, and an impressive concert and student awards ceremony. Student athletes were busy on Saturday as all of our fall teams played at home. Of the 15 games, 10 teams played to victories on the fields at Westminster, beating Avon, Gunnery, K-O, Miss Porter’s and Deerfield in various match-ups. Following the games, students went home for a much-deserved three-day break from a very rigorous fall trimester.
