A Learning Experience

Down a player due to illness, the boys boarded the bus along with varsity for the hour plus ride to Hotchkiss. After arriving and warming up, the boys started with doubles and followed with singles. Although Hotchkiss won all sets played on the day, some of the matches were competitive and our boys played well. Some highlights were Steven Chun ‘25/Jack Pickett ‘26 and Xavier Kahn ‘27/Crosby Cutler ‘27 both dropping very tight pro sets in doubles #1 and #2 respectively. Although we did not win more than 4 games in singles matches, all players fought very hard and played well. The boys left having lost to the better team, and know what they each have to work on for the remainder of the season. The team also enjoyed our stop at Jersey Mikes on the way home and enjoyed a late dinner in their dorms. We travel to Salisbury on Saturday.
