Martlets Shutout Lions

On a mild, overcast Wednesday afternoon, the birds shutout Kent behind strong pitching and defense. Tri-captain Vinny Maslauskas '24 got his first career start on the bump and through 4 scoreless innings. Zach Jainchill '25 went 1 1/3 and tri-captain Evin Curtiss '24 finished out the game. Connor Lytle '25 was outstanding at SS and as a team, Westy turned two double plays. On offense, Maslauskas hit two doubles and had 2 RBI and Shaw Turton '25 drove in 2 runs with a bases loaded double. Next up is Choate on Saturday.
