Martlets Defeat Lions

The Martlets welcomed the Lions of Kent into the confines of Pettee Gymnasium on Parents Weekend. The Black and Gold had great ball movement in the first half with key assists by Rhys Marschke ‘24, Alexei Kocatas ‘25, and Michael Basich ‘26. Draven Chung ‘26 and Jin Lee ‘24 added baskets to extend the first half lead into the locker room despite a plethora of three-pointers from the Lions. The team forced passes and drives to the rim in the second half allowing the Lions to cut the lead down to seven. Ethan Hernandez ‘27 drained a three to help seal the lead and the win for the Black and Gold. Marschke’s leadership, passing, and seven first half points helped energize the Martlets to a win on their home floor. Thank you to the parents, fans, and sixth-formers for their support of the Martlets. Westminster welcomes Eaglebrook for their next game on Tuesday afternoon.
