Martlets Fall to K-O

The Martlets welcomed the Wyverns of Kingswood Oxford on a snowy day atop Williams Hill. The Wyverns breathed some fire early causing an offensive drought at the beginning of the first half leaving the Martlets to generate six points in the first half. The Martlets trailed 20-6 heading into the half but once again came out with a willingness to execute and compete. Rhys Marschke ‘24 played with intensity, finishing on a hard drive to the rim. Alexei Kocatas ‘25 converted on two hard drives into the lane for four of his eight points on the day. Aidan Walsh ‘24 played with tenacity and had six points in a Martlet run. Finn Williams ‘26 drained a pure corner three off an assist from Alex Wood ‘25, cutting the lead down in single digits. Scoring was ultimately too much of a premium but the coaches were proud of the resilience and grit the team displayed in winning the second half. The Martlets turn the page quickly, welcoming the Bearcats from Hotchkiss tomorrow afternoon in Pette Gym.
