Sixth Former Named Semifinalist in National Merit Scholarship Program

Sixth Former Will Erda has advanced to semifinalist standing in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. He is among approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 69th annual competition. Semifinalists represent less than 1% of the nation’s high school graduating seniors.
 
According to the National Merit® Scholarship Corporation, approximately 15,000 of those students are expected to advance to the finalists level. The students have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered in the spring.

They will be notified of this designation in February 2024.

Wills is a boarder from Charles City, Va., who has taken a rigorous course of study, including several AP classes, and earned high honors during his Westminster career. He is a member of the Prefect Board, is part of Model U.N. and has played on the water polo team and as well as JV tennis. He performed in the “Guys and Dolls, is part of the computer club, Global Forum, Martlets Educating Martlets and The Westminster News.
