Westminster Dramat Presents “Anything Goes”

Westminster School’s Dramat Association presented “Anything Goes” Feb. 16-18 in the school’s Werner Centennial Center.

The musical is set aboard the ocean liner S.S. American where nightclub singer and evangelist Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to England. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle onboard the luxury liner are Public Enemy No. 13, Moonface Martin, and his sidekick-in-crime, Bonnie. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Moonface join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart. Some of Cole Porter’s greatest hits are featured in the production, which is rated PG.

Performances took place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and 17, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 18. They were free and open to the public with general admission seating.
