Martlets Fight Hard Till the End

Westminster would host the number one team in New England, Berkshire, and force a close game late. The visitors would get on the board with 15 minutes to go in the first half and take the 1-0 lead into halftime. Westminster would come out firing in the second half and hit a crossbar and two posts in the first 10 minutes on the second half but come away with no goals. Berkshire would extend the lead to 2-0 with less than 15 minutes to go on an own goal by the Martlets. Pushing late, Berkshire would score a well-driven ball to the corner of the net. Peyton Knauf '19 would play big in the net for Westminster with 13 saves. Nate Pane '19 and John Clofine '21 played a great game at center midfield. One of the better played games of the year for the Martlets, the 2017 team looks to finish the last week of the season strong.
