Parents and Family Weekend Awards Ceremony and Performing Arts Concert

Parents and Family Weekend featured an awards ceremony and performing arts concert Oct. 28 in Werner Centennial Center. “Over the last couple of days, I hope that you have enjoyed the opportunity to connect with your children’s classroom teachers and to meet some of your children’s friends and other parents,” said Headmaster Bill Philip, as he welcomed parents and family members of students to campus. He also shared highlights from the fall term, including Grandparents Day, the opening of new facilities, student cultural enrichment and civic engagement opportunities in Hartford, the Friday Nights at Westminster series, and art exhibitions in the Chapel Gallery, including the current one presenting student works of art.

In between performances of the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Tower Line, Dance Ensemble, Chamber Choir and Chorale, numerous academic awards were presented to students in recognition of achievements from last spring.
