Dar Williams to Perform May 23

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Dar Williams will give a performance at Westminster May 23 that is free and open to the public. It will begin at 7 p.m. in the Gund Reading Room of Armour Academic Center.

Every new album from Williams represents her thoughts and feelings about both her own life and larger forces in the world. But her ninth studio record, “Emerald,” marks a particularly dramatic confluence between her experiences and broader contemporary culture — and what it means to be a songwriter at this moment in history. Williams is also the author of two young-adult novels.

Ample parking will be available in the parking lot adjacent to Armour Academic Center.

The event is made possible by generous grants from The Ensign-Bickford Foundation and the Ford-Goldfarb English Department Enrichment Fund.
