Writer Howard Axelrod to Give Reading Feb. 24

Nonfiction writer Howard Axelrod will give a reading at Westminster School Feb. 24 as part of the school’s Friday Nights in Gund series.
 
Axelrod is the author of “The Point of Vanishing: A Memoir of Two Years in Solitude,” which was named one of the best books of the year in 2015 by Slate, the Chicago Tribune and Entropy magazine, and one of the top 10 memoirs by Library Journal. His work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Shambhala Sun and the Boston Globe, among other publications.
 
Axelrod’s Westminster reading is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. in the Gund Reading Room of Armour Academic Center. Refreshments will be served after the presentation and ample parking will be available in the parking lot adjacent to Armour Academic Center.
