Martlets Fall to Pomfret

The Martlets made a solid effort against Pomfret, but too many turnovers sustained momentum for our opponents. Down significantly at the half, the team came roaring back to put us within four. Finn Hocking's '26 hot hand generated 9 points and implementing a 2-3 zone at the half put Pomfret on ice. Combined with the effort of Mike Basich '26, who led the team in scoring with 17 points, the Martlets had a solid opportunity to achieve a comeback victory. Unfortunately, our team started to make similar mistakes--poor passing and turnovers--to swing momentum back to Pomfret, who regained their offensive footing toward the middle of the second half. Despite the outcome, our team should be proud of how they responded. They looked and played like a different team after the half.
