Martlets Tie Kent

Daniel Olaosebikan ‘26 scored a typically determined second half goal to earn the Westminster boys a tie this afternoon. Kent started the game well and at a higher pace than the home team, who found themselves a goal down in the first half. Mark Yang ‘26 was busy all over the pitch today, and looked sharp in every moment. Mark drove the team forward in attack and tracked back to support the defensive efforts. He was responsible for the assist to Daniel for his goal and threatened with deft touches and smart movement himself. Mark epitomized the team’s fightback in the second half and was unlucky not to find the back of the net. Finn Williams ‘26 was asked to play out of his usual position today and delivered his usual team oriented performance. Finn works hard for the players around him, making runs off the ball or starting the press. Finn is always first to make the hard push and leads through his example. Daniel Olaosebikan raised his energy levels and made selfless run after selfless run. Even under intense pressure, Daniel offers hope through his smart decisions and clinical actions. Mark may have provided the steel but it was Daniel’s composure that earned the point.
