All Smiles at National Signing Day

It was all smiles in Gund Reading Room on the afternoon of Nov. 9, as several Westminster athletes in the Class of 2023 celebrated National Signing Day. Families, coaches and teammates were invited to share in the joyous moment.

National Signing Day is the first day that a Division I or II bound NCAA athlete can sign a binding letter of intent to enroll in the college or university they’re committed to.

Signing were Bianca D’Onofrio (soccer at Fordham University), Rowan Masse (baseball at Old Dominion University), Jamie Palmese (baseball at East Tennessee State University), Hailey Tullo (ice hockey at Saint Anselm College), Luke Reiter (lacrosse at the University of Vermont), Kade Smith (lacrosse at Navy) and Quinn Warwick (lacrosse at Marquette University).

Additional college-bound athletes will be celebrated at a later date in 2022 or early 2023.

“This group of Sixth Form athletes have worked very hard, through some very difficult years, to accomplish this incredible goal of playing in the NCAA,” said athletic director Tim Joncas ’00. “We are also incredibly fortunate to have such a committed group of coaches who have helped these young people develop during their time at school. Their care, guidance, and support for their athletes is tremendous and something that I feel grateful for each day.”
