Martlets Place 6th

It was a short bus ride to personal record city this afternoon as Westminster’s boys XC team took the Choate course by storm. The boys junior varsity race was highlighted by the performance of Mike Basich ‘26. A runner who began the season in his first cross country race ever found himself running nearly 4 full minutes faster (on the same course) just eight weeks later. The fun didn’t stop there…in order: varsity runners Jay Henry ‘23, Sam Bradley ‘23, and Jakub McKinney ‘23 ran sub-19 times, all PR’s and Jakub’s first time ever going sub-20. Sophomore James O’Connell ‘25 was close behind with yet another full minute PR, followed by Rhys Marshke ‘24 and Steven Chun ‘24, also both setting personal records. Westminster beat out three of the nine teams this week and has high hopes as we look towards next weekend at St. Mark’s for New Englands.
