Martlets Win on the Road

The traveling Martlets completed the double over Wilbraham this Saturday with an 18-13 victory. While early on they struggled to deal with the hosts' opportunistic counter attack, finding themselves at a 3-1 deficit. However, with some refocusing, they knotted the score heading into the second quarter. Jason Hu’25 put the visitors ahead early in the second quarter with a long range effort and they never looked back, extending their lead as wide as seven. Dealing with a challenging Wilbraham attack, Wills Erda ’24 was again excellent in goal even coming off his line with some key interceptions to stop counterattacks. Andrew Pang ’24 delivered a barrage of goals in the second half and captains Owen Huang ’24 and Mason Zottola ’23 managed the physical game well. Westminster’s boys battled with Grit & Grace to win and can be proud not only in how they executed their game plan but also in how they carried themselves. Truly a win to be proud of.
