Martlets Win on the Road
The Martlets traveled over to Hotchkiss on a beautiful fall day to play the Bearcats. The Martlets took an early lead in the first half with a goal from Caroline Callen(26). The Bearcats answered with 6 shots on goal, all of which were saved by Taleah Leonard(26). The score was 1-0 Martlets at the half. The game continued to be fast paced back and forth to each end of the field. It could have been anyone’s game. But the Martlets kept the pressure on and Caroline Callen scored yet another goal! With 4 minutes left in the game, Giulianna(26) (GiGi) Filippetti scored the 3rd goal, and the game finished with a final score of 3-0. Paige Herlihy(25) played a phenomenal game for the defense.
