Martlets Fall on the Road

It was a beautiful fall day for field hockey! Thirds field hockey hosted the Hoggers of NMH on Hovey Field. After a two week break from our last game, the team was ready and excited to compete. The score, 3-0 in favor of NMH, does not reflect the effort on the field. Audrey Khuu '26 had her first day in the cage and notched twelve saves! The Hogger offense was relentless and was able to push three goals across the goal line on rebounds off the pads. The Martlets never gave up and pushed to the end to try and sneak the ball past the opposing goalie. Despite the Hogger's best efforts, the defense was able to shut them out throughout the fourth quarter. Amara Graham '26 was a force to be reckoned with and disrupted numerous offensive break outs for NMH. Caroline Breslav '26 was an anchor on defense and showed true grit taking free hits and hustling back to defend the circle. Gabby de la Fe '26 was a steady presence on offense and in the midfield. The Martlets will travel on Wednesday to take on Bement.
