Martlets Fall on the Road

The Martlets traveled to Hamden CT for a late match against Hamden Hall. The game opened with excellent back and forth action, and Westminster matched the speed and skill of the Hamden Hall squad. Wills Erda ‘24 played excellent in net from the start of the match, coming up with some phenomenal saves at both ends of the pool. Nolan Styspeck ‘24 also stood strong in the third quarter between the pipes. Ultimately, the experience of several Hamden Hall players deflated the momentum Westminster gained. Hamden Hall seized the opportunity to steal the ball from the Martlets, and they took advantage of poorly timed passes and turnovers. Lots to like for Westminster in this one, however, as they look to stay competitive in matches down the stretch this season. Better body positioning, whistle awareness, and confidence will help Westminster over the next few weeks.
