Martlets Shutout by K-O

Westminster 3rds Girls’ Soccer played a tough match against K-O on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon on the hill. Despite the final score, the team showed immense grit and played hard from start to finish. The girls from K-O were fast, aggressive, and showed incredible passing skills and corner kicks. Several of the first goals were incredible shots from a distance or perfectly placed balls in the box right in front of the net. As the half finished, the Westminster girls tired a bit and left some open lanes that led to some goals. Lucy Morton ‘26 continued her great play to start the season, and was able to hold her own against one of the opponent’s top players. The team also welcomed back Charlotte Grey Swope ‘26 and Elizabeth Wolf ‘23 to the team, and both played well in their first game back from illness. The girls hope to rebound from the loss with a match at Choate this coming weekend.
