Martlets Run Well at Canterbury

On Saturday Westminster traveled to the Canterbury School for the 49th Annual Canterbury Invitational. The meet featured schools from across the northeast in two races, a Division I and Division II race. The Westminster girls raced in the first girls’ race of the day, the Division I race. Saskia Mattiko ‘23 was the first finisher for the Martlets in an impressive season PR. Captain Emma Mason ‘23 followed closely behind in her season debut. Hayden Schneider ‘25 and Captain Simone Routledge ‘23 finished next, racing stride-for-stride for nearly the whole course. Madison Khuu ‘24 finished within the top five for the Martlets, her first race after being diagnosed with COVID last week. The girls look forward to hosting the Richard Miller Invitational at home next week. This will be the first home race of the season for the Martlets.
