Martlets Fall To Strong Taft Squad

Westminster would host Taft on another great day for soccer. The visitors would get on the board under a minute into the game as the Martlets would head in a own goal into the net off a free kick. Things would get worse when Taft would get on the board again with under five minutes into the match off a drive down the sideline and a dangerous cross into the box which would be converted. Things would settle down and both teams would exchange some quality positions. Westminster would have two chances late in the first half, one off a corner and another quality build up play. However it would be Taft scoring off a counter attack to go into the half up 3-0. Taft would convert on a late chance in the second half to finish the game 4-0. The team wrench would go to Jaden Goodsell ‘23 for his hard play and showing up to compete mentality. The Martlets look to get back at it this weekend against the Frederick Gunn School.
