Martlets Fall To Hamden Hall

The Westminster Boys Water Polo team took to the pool for another Friday night engagement, falling 14-3 to Hamden Hall. The visitors came out swinging with a barrage of early goals. Wills Erda ‘24 made a valiant effort on several of the shots. Dealing with some early foul trouble, the Martlet’s rallied in the second quarter with an excellent defensive display, often forcing the visitors to run down the shot clock.  Owen Huang ‘24 held down the middle, causing several turnovers and making life difficult for the Hamden attack. Erda continued his good form, keeping the score close as the Martlets looked to mount a comeback. Goals from Huang and Jason Hu ‘24 closed the gap to 4 by halftime. Second half proved to be less fruitful for the home side as the visitors extended their lead to close out the win. Making their debut in the pool were Jayden Lee ‘25, who got into the flow of things with some nice passing and Will Larock ‘26 also impressed, getting into several dangerous positions. The boys will look to pick up their first win against Williston at midweek.
