Westminster Defeats Williston

The Splash Squad were in high spirits coming into Wednesday’s home game, and the effort showed right off the jump. Kara Dominick ‘22 and Paris Pescatore ‘22 led the way in the first half and ended up with a combined 21 points at the midway point. Their aggressive approach to the game and getting the ball inside clearly paid off. We also had three first time scorers of the season! Behnoosh Behtar ‘25 finished with three points, while Hannah Tarazi ‘22 and Whitney Stroh ‘23 each contributed a bucket. Very exciting for them and for everyone watching. Alexi Haimes ‘23, Gabby Palmowska ‘22 and Kelly Youngman ‘24 also finished with their highest scoring game of the season so far, which kept manager Amelia Jansing ‘22 very busy on the manager’s stat book. Lot’s of credit to a young but energized Williston team who had some very impressive plays, especially in the second half, and it was great to see the continued hustle of Blessing Kieh ‘24 and Nina Ahl ‘22 throughout the contest. The Sisters are looking to keep the run going on Saturday when they travel to Kingswood Oxford.
