Martlets Drop Two in Final Double-Dual Meet

Many girls swam their fastest times of the season and showed they are poised for strong showings in the upcoming championship meets. Unfortunately, they were out-swum by deeper teams from Porter's and Hopkins. The lone event winners today were Lucy Benoit '23, who took the top spot in the 200 IM in a close race, pulling ahead of her opponent in the final lap, and co-captain Cecilia Raymond '20, who won the diving event. However, several Martlets performed at their season-best, including Elisabeth Knauf '20 (diving, lifetime best score), Margaret Breen '23 (200 free), Katherine Ashe '21 (200 free and 100 fly), Ellie Thorson '21 (50 free, 100 free), Sydney Schuster '21 (200 free, 500 free) and Janessa Yan '22 (50 free). The girls begin preparations for the Founders League Championships next week and will compete at Porter's again next Saturday.
