Pelicans Fly West to Play the Martlets on the Hill

Third Boys’ Basketball hosted Loomis Chaffee’s thirds team in its second rematch of the year. Seeking redemption at home, the team had practiced approaches to break through the Pelicans’ press defense. While the practice helped the team to get the ball onto offense, the skill with which the Pelicans’ utilized the press still provided a challenge to the Martlets. The team’s top scorer, Boniface Fatohou ’23 showed great ball handling skills, and broke through to the basket several times as the team worked to catch the Pelicans. Despite topping our points from the first game, the Martlets were unable to catch the Pelicans once again, and the game ended at 34-57.
