Too Many Turnovers

Westminster kept it close for much of the first half, but K-O, spurred by its hot-shooting point guard, went on a 19-2 run to end the half and take a commanding lead. Westminster made a nice 11-2 run to open the third quarter, but a couple of defensive breakdowns and too many turnovers ballooned the deficit up to 15 again. The team trimmed the Wyvern lead down to 10 a couple of times but couldn't sustain a late-game rally. Co-captains Bella Tawney ’22 and Bethany Winters ’20 combined with Eliza Roach ’21 to lead the team in scoring.
