Superior Opponent

Westminster started well, led by the first quarter scoring of Margaret Kennedy ’22 and co-captain Bethany Winters ‘20, and found itself within striking distance after the first eight minutes. The second quarter was another story altogether. Walkers employed relentless pressure, and Westminster went into halftime down 19-42. The third quarter gave the Martlets no relief, but the team bounced back a little in the fourth but ultimately succumbed to a much superior opponent. Winters led the team in scoring; Kennedy played with improved control and vision and Bella Tawney ’22 dished out four assists and snagged 16 rebounds.
