A Great Effort

Westminster gave a great effort in its rematch with Hotchkiss. Westminster played great team defense in the first half and held the Bearcats to 17 points; unfortunately, the Martlets could only muster 11. Westminster had a little more success scoring in the second half, but fatigue and second-chance opportunities led to more Hotchkiss scoring chances, and Hotchkiss gradually expanded its lead over the final two quarters. Margaret Kennedy ‘22 played the entire game and got to the free-throw line eight times, and six different Martlets made their way into the scoring column.
