Martlets Fly East with Griffins

Third Boys’ Basketball played Pomfret’s Thirds team out in Pomfret. The Martlets faced the Griffins head on with one of the team’s best first half performances offensively. With Zach Blest ’21 leading the team for shots made, the team brought pressure from both inside and outside the three-point line, finishing the first half with 19 points. Both teams made adjustments to begin the second half, and the Martlets found it much harder to make field goals during the period. With time ticking down, Pomfret made several key stops, stymieing the Westminster’s attempt to break 30 points for the first time this season, resulting in a final score of 29-48.
