Dominant Win for the Martlets

Third Boys’ Squash had a convincing win over Salisbury this afternoon, as every Martlet came away with a victory. Max Hong '22, Jonah Prentiss 22, Grand Tantichot '22, Will Warner '22, Oliver Olson '23, Alex Shao '22 and Teddy Feroleto '22 all won their matches in straight sets. At one end was Hong, playing at the top of the ladder for the first time in his career, and winning three close games by the slimmest of margins. Conversely, Olson yielded a mere six points (1, 4, 1) in his match. Meanwhile, Oliver Fenner '22, Matthew Westlake '22 and Tyler Donegan '22 needed four games to secure their respective victories, with both Fenner and Donegan rebounding to win three straight after dropping the opening frame. In the match of the day, Jerry Wang '22 came out strong, winning the first two games, only to see his opponent rally back to win the next two to tie up the match and force a fifth and deciding game. Wang hung on to eke out a 11-9 win and preserve the sweep for the hosts.
