Martlets Get Beat by a Strong Kingswood Oxford JV Team

Westminster played hard, but lost to a solid and deep Kingswood Oxford JV squad. Despite losing all of its matches, the Martlets had some close contests that easily could have gone the in their favor. Oliver Fenner '22 steadily improved during his evenly-played match, losing his final game by a mere two points. Jonah Prentiss '22 fought back to tie up his match at one apiece, but lost his momentum in the final two games. The match of the day belonged to Grand Tantichot '22, who played perhaps his best all-around match to date. The fourth game alone was worth the price of admission, as both players returned shot after shot, and the score see-sawed back and forth. Tantichot's opponent hung on to win that game 13-11, and then took the final game to secure the victory.
