A Tough One

Westminster lost a tough one to a gritty and well-coached KO team in the semifinals of the KIT. The game was back and forth for most of the afternoon, but the team did carve out a 40-36 lead in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, a combination of turnovers, missed open shots and defensive breakdowns enabled the Wyverns to end the game on a 12-2 run and seal the victory. Samantha de Kanter '22 played well and tallied a career-high 13 points. Co-captains Bethany Winters '20 and Bella Tawney '22 combined for 17, but it wasn't quite enough to earn a berth in the finals. The team will shoot for third place tomorrow morning in a tough matchup with WMA.
