Martlets Lose Home Opener

Despite the lopsided score, Westminster showed continual hustle. They took charges, wrapped up loose balls, and did their best to rebound against the taller, more athletic Trinity-Pawling squad. The Martlets found themselves in a deep hole as they trailed in the early part of the first half 2-19, which would prove to be an irrecoverable margin as they just couldn't muster any shots versus Trinity-Pawling's length. Ben Mihailovich '22, a scrappy momentum-changer, grabbed six rebounds, scored five points and took a charge; Baker Morton '22 contributed 10 points; and Cooper Kistler '22, back from injury, scored a hard-fought five points in limited time to go with two rebounds. Westminster's path doesn't get any easier as the team hits the road again Saturday to travel to Deerfield Academy.
