Depth Leads to Victory

Second Boys' Squash defeated Kingswood-Oxford 6-3 in its home opener at the Kohn Squash Pavilion on a cold Wednesday afternoon. The Martlets lost at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 but won all six of the bottom matches by a combined score of 18-3. Charlie Pappas '22 gets the nail for winning his match at No. 7 in three games while surrendering only 10 points. When the Martlets stuck to playing fundamentally sound squash (i.e. hitting to good length and good width), they all played well. The team will continue to work on the basics before breaking for winter vacation. Next up is an away match at Berkshire School Jan. 11. Here are the individual results of the KO match:

No. 2 Quoc Anh Truong '20 lost to James Beerbower (6), (10), 8, (2)
