Martlets Play Well, Win Two at Home

David Harris '21 led the way with a sparkling 38 on a perfect day for golf at Hop Meadow Country Club. Playing his usual impressively reliable game of hitting fairways and greens, Harris was medalist on the day as the Martlets beat both Salisbury and Wilbraham & Monson in this home three-way match. Will Scott '20, playing in his first golf match for Westminster, fired a 39; Third Former Charlie Pappas, also playing in his first match for the Black and Gold, contributed with a 44. Other Westminster scorers included Darion Benchich '20 (who had it really going for a bit before getting into some trouble on the last) with a 41, Vincent von Nordeck '21 with a 43, and Charlie von Stade '21 with a 44. All in all, the Martlet linksmen played a strong match, with all golfers doing their part to secure the double win. Next up: the Berkshire Bears on the road on Saturday.
