Martlets Sweep to Victory

The Black and Gold earned their second victory of the season in dominant fashion, winning all nine matches on the day. The Martlets looked strong in singles and doubles action. All three doubles teams won by the same score 8-1, playing aggressively at net and serving with a pace that was hard to return. Five of the six singles matches also concluded with the same 8-1 score. Lauren Way '20, Ellie Suit '20, Clara Ekholm '20, Alex Wolf '19 and Sasha van Vrendenburch ’21 all dispatched of their opponents in a confident display of tennis. Olivia Zhang '20 faced a determined player at No. 1 and had to remain patient yet aggressive in her play. She pulled out the 8-4 win to finish off the match. The Martlets have their first away match on Saturday at Kent.
