Two Wins to Start the Season
The season got off to a great start at home versus Suffield and Cheshire academies. The high scorers on the day were Claire Taylor '21 with 10 points followed by Dylan Foster '20 and Alisa Toner '21. Taylor won the triple jump and placed second in the pole vault. Foster won the long jump. Those two athletes were also part of the winning 4x100m relay team along with Bella Tawney '22, Ava Johnson '22. She also placed second in the 200m. Toner won the javelin and placed second in the discus. Tatiana Restrepo '22 and Tawney took the first two spots in the high jump. Restrepo also scored points in the 100m. Solveig Nycander '20 won the 3000m, followed closely by Laura Mittelman '20. That duo also scored in the 1500m. Others scoring points include Maya Ruffin '19 in the discus and shot put, Samantha de Kanter '22 in the 800m, Johnson in the 100m and 200m, Ariel Seidu '22 in the 200m and Ashlyn Clapprood '22 in the javelin.
