The Martlets Lose in the Closing Seconds

Another classic battle by both Westminster and Berkshire. This is the second meeting of the season between the two ball clubs. The first half was a great defensive battle on both ends and the score was tied at 21. The Martlets then went on a nice run and went up as much as 10 during the second half. Berkshire then went on a run of its own to take the lead late. The Martlets went down by seven with two minutes left. With only 30 seconds left, the Martlets cut the deficit to one after a steal by Chris Robinson '20. After a key defensive stop, the Martlets had eight seconds to score but came up short after a missed shot by Joel Pullen '20. Robinson and Pullen both ended the game with 15 points, while Kyle Hoffman ’19 chipped in with 10 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks (near triple double.)
