Dramat to Present "Pippin"

Westminster School’s Dramat Association will present “Pippin” Feb. 22-24 in Werner Centennial Center.

In this popular musical, prince Pippin, the son of medieval ruler King Charlemagne, is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of passion and the intrigues of political power. In the end, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors but rather in the everyday moments of life. Rated PG-13.

“Pippin” is based on the book by Roger by O. Hirson, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

Performances will take place at 8 p.m. Feb. 22 and Feb. 23, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 24. They are free and open to the public with general admission seating. Parking will be available in the lot adjacent to Armour Academic Center.
