Westminster Loses to a Talented and Deep Eaglebrook Squad

The Martlets, some of whom were playing their first squash match ever, played tough but were simply outmatched. Jeremy Hopsicker '22 and Jonah Prentiss '22 each won the first game against their respective opponents, but could not sustain the momentum. After losing his first game, Connor Eddy '21 battled back to tie up the match at one apiece, only to drop the next two games. Will Mell '21, Peter Barrett '22 and Max Hong '22 played gritty squash to keep each game of their matches close. Special mention goes out to Hong for stepping up and playing a second match when Will Warner '22 was unable to continue due to an injury early on in his match. Grand Tantichot '22 and Matthew Westlake '22 lost a few close games where a few points going the other way could have easily changed the outcome. All in all, it was a productive and informative first match for the team, who look to rebound against Salisbury on Wednesday.
