Martlets Back in Win Column

On a cold, blustery afternoon, Westminster's seesaw season continued with a solid performance against Suffield Academy. The Martlets started strong, ricocheting two shots off the crossbar before Eugene Kim '19, in the center of a scrum, put one in for good. In the second half, Kim struck again, this time assisted by Drew Brownback '19, who dominated the field with his speed and meticulous crosses. The goals were Kim's fifth and sixth of the season. Suffield stole a point back halfway through the second but not before Martlet midfielder Brad Donegan '20 floated a ball from the corner over the goalkeeper's head, ensuring the victory. The latter was Donegan's first goal of the season. The home team received other standout performances from midfielders Ian Lee '21, William Mazzaro '21 and Rex Flinn '21, and from defenders Jackson Schopp '19, William Scott '20 and Kendrick Freeman '21.
