Frequently Asked Questions

When should we RSVP? Please reply by May 10 with the card and stamped envelope in the folder you received by mail. Indicate the total number of guests in your party who will stay for lunch following Commencement (do not include the graduate). If none, please mark “0” and return the card, as it is helpful for us to know that as well.
May we have more invitations and/or announcements? Contact Diana Evans at 860-408-3012 or She will be happy to send them to you as supplies last.
Who may attend the weekend’s events?
Friday: Due to limited space and the demands of a tightly scheduled evening, we ask that families limit attendance, but grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles are, of course, welcome.
Saturday: Again, immediate families and limited numbers of your extended family are welcome to attend. The commencement exercises will take place under a tent on Commencement Lawn.
When should we arrive? The weekend festivities begin with the Spring Festival of the Arts on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Many parents arrive earlier to help their son or daughter pack his or her belongings.
What is the dress code for graduates?
Friday: Classroom Dress
Saturday: Girls – white summer dress, white footwear. Boys – suit, white shirt, tie, proper footwear (a formal navy blazer and dark dress slacks would also be appropriate).

Photography Services

Westminster School has contracted with Highpoint Pictures to take photos during Commencement activities. Our hope is that this service will provide Westminster families with valuable, high quality memories and allow family members to avoid rushing around and jostling for position when trying to shoot their own photos.
The company is known for its professional, high quality work and service. The school does not: pay for, make money from, or guarantee this service. Westminster School is not involved in their work and does not take orders for photos. Families should contact the company directly for all services, orders, questions and concerns.
