A great team win!

The Westminster team played with heart, determination, and intensity against Loomis this afternoon. From the first whistle of this fast-paced and evenly matched game, the Martlets worked effectively to pressure the ball and fight for possession. Both teams had a handful of shots in the first half, but the game remained scoreless going into halftime. With 10 minutes remaining, Caroline Scott '09 dodged a Loomis defender at the top of the circle and sent a blistering shot to the back of the goal. Throughout the game, Caitlin Hodson's '09 defense was exceptional, and both Lisa Cavazuti '08 and Caroline Kokulis '07 played especially well in the midfield. Sarah Shanfield '08 saved each of the shots that she faced in goal. All 15 members of this team are commended for their grit, grace, and fine field hockey that helped them secure the victory today.
