Martlets Fall on the Road

The JV Boys took a first half to find the speed of the game after a long ride down to Greenwich. They started the second half three goals down but determined to take something from the game. Mark Yang ‘26 was the best Westminster player on the field, always looking dangerous. Mark was at the heart of the team’s best moments, connecting with his teammates, or crafting space for a shot himself. He deservedly won a penalty but sadly was denied by a good save from the Brunswick keeper. Justin Cardia ‘24 was ready and raring to go this afternoon, and put in a dynamic performance. He was much better about interchanging with the players around him, and moved early into space to offer a support option. Justin’s hard work kept many of the Westminster possessions alive and he should be proud of his efforts today. Finn Williams ‘26 found his tempo in the second half and put in another hard working performance. Finn keeps himself involved in the game and does his best to read the needs of the team and fill those voids. This was a difficult afternoon for Finn but he snuffed out several dangers before they could worry the Westminster goal and always looked to drive the team forward.
