Martlets Fall to Choate

The Martlets traveled to Choate on a cool first day of October. The team also played very cool to start the game, as they let up several goals in the first half to finish the half down 3-0. Choate’s two powerful strikers were able to set up multiple runs down the sidelines and executed many cross passes in front of the net. Westminster was unable to control the ball or maintain possession and spent most of the game on their side of the field. There were a few runs late in the first half and also in the second half, with Elizabeth Wolf ‘23 and Sarah Rocchio ‘24 leading the charge. Elle Wilson ‘26 was strong on defense to start the game and the team welcomed her energetic presence back on the field. Charlotte Grey Swope ‘26 suffered an injury with a few minutes left in the game and the team hopes she is able to soon return for our upcoming matches against Ethel Walker and Loomis.
