Martlets Fall to AOF

The Westminster JV Boys put in a strong first half, but fell short during three decisive second half moments. Alex Wood ‘25 made several athletic saves in goal, and was fearless in using his body to claim loose balls. Finn Williams ‘26 excelled at the heart of defense, marshaling the team around him and making a number of lung busting recovery runs. Finn is proving calm under pressure and adept at reading the game. Mark Yang ‘26 has only been with the squad for a short while, but he had a variety of good exchanges with the team around him and made several key passes which led to shots on goal. Daniel Olaosebikan ‘26 shone this afternoon, holding his own and retaining the ball against some physically imposing players. Daniel is so good with using his body and close control to maintain possession, and is not afraid to put his body in the line of fire. Daniel will be at the center of much of our good attacking play and I look forward to his continued development in the team. The roster was depleted through injury but the remaining team gave an excellent account of themselves, and the 0-0 at halftime was well deserved. Westminster welcomes the Taft School next Wednesday.
