Fall Term Achievements Recognized

At the fall term awards ceremony Dec. 1, Headmaster Bill Philip welcomed students and faculty back from Thanksgiving break, saying, “Thanksgiving more than most holidays embraces the sentiment of gratitude, while in the company of family and friends. Especially in the context of these unsettled times and our many personal anxieties, pausing collectively in gratitude seems all the more important.”

He then recognized a number of individuals and programs for their contributions to school life during the summer and the fall term including members of the Sixth Form, who he asked to stand for grateful applause. He cited various community service initiatives, arts programs, academic initiatives and individual volunteer contributions. “This selfless ethos is so precious,” he said. “It defines our school community.”
