Dramat Presents “Peter and the Starcatcher”

Westminster’s Dramat Association presented the play “Peter and the Starcatcher” to enthusiastic audiences in the Werner Centennial Center Nov. 10, 11 and 12.

The play told the story of how an orphan becomes Peter Pan through a nautical adventure to a distant island with a precious cargo that could not fall into the wrong hands.

The Westminster production featured a large cast and numerous musical elements. Helping tell the story were numerous lighting and sound effects and a vibrant set created by the tech crew.

“After seeing this show on Broadway, I knew it was a show I had to direct,” said Director of Theater A-men Rasheed. “One of the components I liked most in the play was the storytelling quality. The show was bitingly funny at times.”

The play was written by Rick Elice and based on the novel by Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson with music by Wayne Baker.
