Parents Weekend Awards Ceremony

At the Parents Weekend Awards Ceremony Oct. 18, students were recognized for their spring 2014 academic achievements, and members of the Dance Ensemble, Chorale, Chamber Choir, Band, Jazz Band and Rising Sons performed.

Headmaster Bill Philip welcomed parents and friends to the ceremony saying, “We hold these awards until Parents Weekend so that students can be recognized, as they deserve, with their families present.” He then spoke about Community Service Day, “culture draws,” the Friday Nights in Gund series, the Whiffenpoofs’ concert, the Westminster Teaching Symposium, the summer online learning program WHOLE, HAIKU and Grandparents Day. “It seems hard to believe that so much has happened since the start of this school year.”

Director of Studies Bill Sistare then recognized students who earned Summus for the spring term.
